Well, I've been gone a few days...update ahead...lol

Okay, I've been gone a few days, so I decided to make the time at work to hop on here today and update ya'll.  It has been a LOONG week, let me tell you!

Well, my brother has gotten into some trouble again.  I don't remember if I've told ya'll, but he got in with the wrong crowd and had to spend a year in boot camp because of what he did.  Well, he's done it again.  He got arrested for criminal mischief on Sunday, then they had to take him before the JP on Monday to REALLY take him into custody, because he is a juvenile.  The PO decided to hold him in juvie until he could have a detainment hearing.  We had that yesterday, and they sent him home and gave him a lawyer for the real hearing.  We still don't know when that is.  But, I can say that his lawyer sounds like he wants to fight for him and win.....I just wish I knew whether or not him getting out of this charge was the best thing for him!!  I mean, it's not a really BIG thing that he did....it is just being turned into a big thing by the people in authority who already know his previous record.  The law enforcement in my town is SO corrupt!  It's horrible!  I hate them!  I don't know.  There's a lot of background there, and if I haven't told it to ya'll yet, then I'll just have to fill ya'll in another time....I am too wore out to go into it all right now.

I have made a big decision in my life.  It started with the job I was telling ya'll about (the one I STILL haven't heard anything on!!).  Actually applying for that job was, I think, a turning point in my life, along with my brother getting in trouble again.  I have decided that I am not going to settle for living in a town I hate, working at a job that gives me so much stress that sometimes I worry about my health, all for two ungrateful kids!  SO...I'm not doing it anymore.  I am looking for a job in the Dallas area, and have sent out almost 40 resumes (thanks to the wonderful world of technology, I can look up jobs on craigslist and send resumes out in seconds!).  I haven't heard anything on any of the good ones.  I heard back from some people about some work-at-home stuff that I would LOVE to do, but I am wary.  I don't want to get screwed over by a scam.  I know that there are legitimate work-from-home opportunities out there, I am just afraid the ones I go for won't be the legitimate ones!  LOL!  If anyone reads this and works from home legitimately, or knows someone who does, information would be greatly appreciated!

I have also taken a few steps toward looking for housing in that area.  I have talked to two real estate agents about buying and renting, and they are looking for me.  I am also looking for myself.  Below is a pic of the house in Rockwall that I would LOVE to buy!  I haven't even seen the house in person, but I LOVE it!  It just looks like the kind of house I want to be in!  See at the front, the big porch?  Just right for a porchswing like my granny used to have!  And it looks like just the right kind of house to have a white picket fence around it!  (Of course, Kelly says that in Rockwall you have to get approval to put a fence up....but I am willing to go through whatever channels I have to!  LOL!)

I am just sick and tired of doing what I think is best for EVERYONE else, and it turning out all wrong anyway!  I want to do something for ME!  I know that I should probably put more thought into this....especially with the kids and all....I'm just worried that I might talk myself out of it!  LOL!

So that's my update....hopefully it won't be so long between posts next time!  LOL!

Oh no...I'm so sorry about your brother.  They have obviously been through a lot too in their lives...they will come around!   I know it's hard but you have always been there for them and they know that.  Some day you will get the thank you's you deserve!  Sometimes kids just don't think and all our kids have been there thats for sure!  You have done a great job with them and I don't know if I would be able to raise a sister and a brother!   It must be very stressful!   Hang in there!!

ok woman you not only have to get approval to put up a fence?  No front yard fences are allowed UNLESS they are grandfathered which means they were there before it went into effect 15 years ago....so love ya....but you aint getting a picket fence...lol....
